The Melkweg in Amsterdam was filled to the brim with good vibes provided by The Home Team, Arrows in Action and True North. The entire line-up was a joy to watch and brought most of the crowd out early to see the opening acts, with no one wanting to miss any chance to dance. All three bands delivered a dynamic performance, giving it their all, the energy contagious.
With the tour celebrating The Home Team’s most recent album The Crucible of Life, the band played the album in full, including guest appearances from members of Arrows in Action. The setlist was a rollercoaster, ranging from groovy to sentimental. Vocalist Brian Butcher knows how to work the room, flashing a big smile and throwing in a flirty wink, complimenting songs like Loud and Brag. The band has coined the term “heavy pop” to describe their sound, using catchy hooks whilst not shying away from screams. The label certainly seems to fit them well.
To those who missed out on the tour, don’t worry! During the show the band announced that a new album is on it’s way, so surely they’ll be back in no time!
