Heavy metal’s most legendary festival brand, Ozzfest, has officially announced that it will be returning to both the UK and the US in 2027.
The news was confirmed via a social media teaser depicting images of both flags alongside the message: “Ozzfest will come to the UK and US”. The update builds upon earlier confirmations from Sharon Osbourne regarding a UK return at Villa Park in Birmingham, the hometown of the late, great Ozzy Osbourne.
This marks the first time Ozzfest will take place on US soil since December 2018, and its first UK staging since 2002. While specific host cities for the Stateside leg and full artist lineups remain under wraps, organizers teased that more details are coming soon while opening the floor for fans to submit location requests.
Speaking previously on the festival’s enduring legacy and ethos, Sharon Osbourne emphasized keeping its foundational spirit alive:
“It was something Ozzy was very passionate about: giving young talent a stage in front of a lot of people. We really started metal festivals in this country… ours was a place for new talent. It was like summer camp for kids.”
