The much anticipated new Netflix movie “Sierra Burgess Is A Loser”, starring Shannon Purser (Riverdale & Stranger Things) has been receiving a lot of backlash for transphobia, homophobia and faking a disability, being deaf.

If you have not seen the movie yet, watch out for spoilers!

In the movie, Sierra Burgess is being bullied and mean jokes are being made about her.
Some of the jokes are about her being a transgender and a lesbian and both are being received as an insult.

Also, Sierra pretends to be deaf in the movie and people are finding it extremely disrespectful.
