Sum 41 Announce New Single ‘Landmines’ With Release Date & Music Video

Grammy-nominated band Sum 41 is back in the spotlight with the exciting announcement of their latest single, Landmines, which is set to drop on Wednesday, September 27th. The release, coming via Rise Records, will be accompanied by a brand-new music video.

Lead vocalist of Sum 41, Deryck Whibley, shared his thoughts on the forthcoming track, saying, “When I wrote ‘Landmines,’ I had no intention of writing an old-school ‘pop punk’ song. It just came out really quickly, and I knew right away that this song felt special to me.

Fans of the band can already pre-save Landmines in anticipation of its release.

Sum 41 is not stopping there; they have exciting live performances in the pipeline. The band is scheduled to hit the stage on October 21st and October 22nd at the highly anticipated When We Were Young festival in Las Vegas, Nevada. In addition to this, Sum 41 will be headlining a sold-out When We Were Young Sideshow on October 20th at the Brooklyn Bowl. Joining them on stage will be renowned acts such as Bowling For Soup, Plain White T’s, Your Broken Hero and more.

This announcement comes after the band’s earlier declaration in May about their plans to split up following the completion of a worldwide tour in support of their upcoming album, Heaven :x: Hell.

Sum 41 has had an illustrious 24-plus-year career, boasting over 15 million records sold worldwide, multiple Billboard-charting releases, a Grammy Award nomination, two Juno Awards with seven nominations, a Kerrang! Award in 2002, and multiple Alternative Press Music Awards.

Earlier this month, Deryck Whibley had a health scare and was hospitalized for pneumonia. His swift recovery is a relief to both the band and their dedicated fanbase.

Landmines promises to be a thrilling addition to Sum 41’s discography, and their upcoming performances are sure to keep the band’s legacy alive and thriving in the hearts of their fans. Mark your calendars for September 27th and stay tuned for more exciting developments from Sum 41.
