Simple Plan Announce Video Documentary ‘The Kids In The Crowd’

Canadian pop-punk icons Simple Plan are set to release an intimate documentary, The Kids In The Crowd, on Prime Video, premiering July 8th, 2025. The film chronicles the band’s 25-year journey, from their early days playing basement shows in Montreal to achieving global stardom.

Announced by frontman Pierre Bouvier at the 2024 When We Were Young festival, the documentary features exclusive archival footage and interviews with notable figures like blink-182’s Mark Hoppus, Avril Lavigne, NOFX’s Fat Mike, and The Offspring’s Dexter Holland and Noodles. The band describes the project as a celebration of dreaming big, perseverance, friendship, brotherhood, and music’s transformative power.

Alongside the documentary, Amazon Music has released an early demo version of Simple Plan’s hit I’m Just A Kid, with the full soundtrack—including a new single—dropping on July 8th.
