Muse Release New Single ‘Unravelling’

Muse have released their new single Unravelling, their first song since their 2022 album Will of the People. They premiered the track live at Helsinki’s House of Culture this month. The song mixes synths, heavy guitar riffs, and their big, dramatic sound.

Matt Bellamy, Dominic Howard, and Chris Wolstenholme worked with producer Dan Lancaster, who has worked with Bring Me The Horizon and Blink-182. Matt Bellamy plays an 8-string guitar in the song, giving it a heavier sound. The track shifts from soft synths to loud riffs, showing how Muse keep changing their style.

They recorded Unravelling at Abbey Road Studios. Fans on social media like its intense energy and say it feels like their older album Absolution. The lyrics, like Feeling the glow die inside of our bones / This is a hymn for our love with no God and no throne, add a deep, poetic touch.

Muse will perform at big European festivals this summer, including Hellfest (June 20th), Pinkpop (June 22nd), Tons of Rock (June 25th), STHLM Fields (June 27th), Open’er Festival (July 4th), Mad Cool (July 10th), and NOS Alive (July 12th). Unravelling will likely be a highlight of their shows. Chris Wolstenholme said they might start working on a new album soon, possibly for release in 2026.
