Floor Jansen Quits ReVamp

Nightwish front lady Floor Jansen has decided to officially quit her symphonic/progressive metal band ReVamp. The band started its journey in 2009 and released two strong studio albums ReVamp (2010) and Wild Card (2013). They collaborated with many guest musicians of well known names such as Devin Townsend, Björn “Speed” Strid, Russell Allen, Mark Jansen or George Oosthoek.
Now, Floor has decided to focus fully on Nightwish. With her newly announced pregnancy it´s clearly understandable she can´t concentrate on two bands at the same time anymore.
Read her statement confirming that the band has officially split up below:
“I am proud of the 2 albums we made together! ReVamp has such talented and great musicians that I wouldn’t want them to wait any longer for me to find the time and the passion it needs to make another album. I also don’t want to give fans false hope. ReVamp lived a short and bumpy but exciting life but now it’s time for new bands and projects to start. I thank everyone involved for the love and dedication!”
