Earlier this week
, when Gerard Way spoke with Billboard about his new comic book release of “Doom Patrol Vol.1: Brick by Brick” as well as the future of his solo career as a musician, the subject of My Chemical Romance came up as well and led the former frontman to make the following statement:

“I wouldn’t count [a reunion] out, but at the same time everybody’s doing stuff in their lives now that they’re really enjoying.”

The news soon spread like a wildfire and some people tried to get more details and opinions about it directly from the other former members. Now My Chemical Romance’s ex guitarist Frank Iero has responded on his Twitter, advising everyone not to put too much weight on the statement made by Way.

According to Iero, when subjects a lot of people deeply care about are discussed in an interview, a person’s words are often taken out of context in order to gain clicks and therefore result in a lot of misleads and misunderstandings.

Check out what he had to say in his tweet below.
