My Chemical Romance are currently pacing to earn their first-ever UK No. 1 album courtesy of the 20th anniversary deluxe reissue of their iconic 2006 record, The Black Parade.
Midweek chart figures show the expanded release commanding a firm lead over the rest of the top 10. Driven by massive physical pre-orders across special vinyl pressings and expanded CD editions, the album is poised to top the chart 20 years after the original release narrowly missed the apex, peaking at No. 2 back in 2006.
The 20th anniversary package drops alongside six bonus cuts, highlighted by the official debut studio release of beloved live fan-favorite Someone Out There Loves You, and features updated artwork alongside classic B-sides.
Adding fuel to the fire, the band left a enigmatic message for their fanbase outside Los Angeles venue Whisky A Go Go, teasing:
“We have the world’s best fans. Thank You. See you soon.”
The official UK Album Chart positions will be finalized this Friday.
But wait, there's more!
