In 2017, Powerfest made its glorious return. After a few years of inactivity the Amsterdam-based indoor festival was back with some of the biggest names in poppunk and post-hardcore. With headliners Pierce The Veil and Sleeping With Sirens, Powerfest 2017 was bound to be epic and nothing could have been more true.
Poppunk mayhem would be the best to describe State Champs’ set at Powerfest. There is a very good reason why State Champs are one of the poppunk resurgence frontrunners and that reason is their live show. You have not truly experienced an energetic live show until you’ve witnessed a State Champs gig in the flesh. Even though they performed in the exact same room merely two months ago, their return was appreciated and the amount of crowdsurfers was off the charts.
