Everyone who has seen Game of Thrones can remember Eddard Stark’s death, especially since he was the first ‘big’ character who died.
Before his head was chopped off, he whispered something and everyone has been wondering what for the past 7 seasons.

A lot of fans have been speculating and some crazy things were suggested.
Some thought he said the show’s famous phrase ‘Valar Morgulis’ (All men must die), others thought he said “I kept my promise” and some even thought he was trying to communicate with Bran, who might have time-traveling capabilities.

Well, you were all wrong.
Sean Bean, who plays Ned Stark, has revealed what his final words were.
He was just saying a prayer.

“I just thought ‘What would you do if this were really gonna happen?’ You probably would pray. You probably would murmur some words and you’d keep it quiet. You’d keep it to yourself. It’s quite subtle in that many people wouldn’t pick it up. It was an interesting thing to do for me at that point. There’s not much you can do really, you’ve got your head on a block. That’s about the only thing you can do is murmur.”
Check out the famous moment below.
