LIVE REVIEW: Camila Cabello Blends Goofy & Sexy In Amsterdam

Camila Cabello’s Yours, C tour stop at AFAS Live in Amsterdam on July 1, 2025, was a vibrant, heartfelt spectacle that showcased her evolution as an artist. The sold-out show, part of her tour supporting C,XOXO, was a perfect blend of goofy charm and sultry charisma, proving that Cabello’s Cuban blood runs deep in her passionate performance style. From the moment she kicked off with an extended Shameless, the energy was electric, setting the tone for a night of dynamic contrasts.

The stage design was a standout, featuring a transformable setup draped in couch-like material that gave it the playful vibe of a giant bouncy house. This creative choice complemented Camila Cabello’s ability to balance quirky, lighthearted moments with seductive flair, as she seamlessly transitioned from playful interactions to steamy dance breaks. The show was structured in four acts, each marked by interludes that added depth and kept the pacing tight. The choreography was a highlight, with intricate dance breaks woven into songs like Never Be the Same and Havana, amplifying the high-energy atmosphere.

Camila Cabello’s setlist, spanning 23 songs, struck a beautiful balance between upbeat bangers and introspective ballads, as well as her classic hits and C,XOXO tracks. Fan favorites like Havana and the tango-infused Señorita (a nod to her collaboration with Shawn Mendes) had the crowd roaring, while newer tracks like I LUV IT and the unreleased Scar Tissue showcased her experimental edge. A special moment came during DREAM-GIRLS, where typically a female fan joins Camila Cabello on stage as the “Dream Girl,” adding to the intimate, fan-focused vibe. This time, however, a male fan joined her, playfully dubbed the “Dream Boy,” creating a memorable twist that delighted the audience. The “mute challenge” during Quiet engaged the audience, though some fans on X noted the crowd’s energy felt lackluster compared to Camila Cabello’s full-throttle performance.

Her connection with the audience was undeniable—she professed “I love you guys so much” so often, it rivaled the number of outfit changes Taylor Swift might have in a single show. Unlike Taylor Swift, though, Camila Cabello kept it simple with only one outfit swap, letting her personality and performance do the talking—a choice that felt refreshingly authentic, like a friend who just happens to be a global pop star. Her Cuban roots shone through in the rhythmic pulse of songs like Bam Bam and the fiery delivery of Bad Kind Of Butterflies, cementing her as a proud Latina powerhouse.

Despite some fans’ gripes about the crowd’s energy (one X post called it “mediocre”), Camila Cabello’s commitment never wavered. The encore, featuring I LUV IT, Don’t Go Yet and Havana, was a euphoric cap to a night that felt both polished and deeply personal.

In short, Camila Cabello’s Amsterdam show was a masterclass in balancing nostalgia and innovation, goofiness and allure. With a bouncy-house stage, killer choreography, and a setlist that honored her roots while pushing boundaries, she proved she’s not just a pop star—she’s a force.
