Lana Del Rey Releases Hypnotic New Song
Lana Del Rey released a new song and accompanying music video this week titled ‘Mariners Apartment Complex’.
The piece is a dreamy experience filled with earthy instruments, echoes and layers of voices, and gentle synths which give a hypnotic atmosphere to the track. While light and airy there’s something to the music keeping you from floating away completely in Del Rey’s voice.
Along with the black and white video, featuring footage which feels like a home video from the 60’s, it has a very vintage feeling to it which is easy to sink into.
