Green Day Announce 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition Of ‘American Idiot’

Green Day are set to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their seminal album American Idiot with a special deluxe edition, slated for release on October 25. This anniversary edition promises to be a treasure trove for fans, featuring a wealth of unreleased material, including demos, b-sides, and live recordings from their iconic performance at New York’s Irving Plaza.

One of the highlights of the release is a brand-new documentary, titled 20 Years of American Idiot, offering an in-depth look at the album’s creation and its enduring impact on the music scene and beyond.

In addition to the digital release, Green Day are offering limited edition super deluxe box sets on both vinyl and CD, complete with an accompanying Blu-ray of the documentary. Fans can secure their copy by preordering through the band’s official website.

Currently, the band is performing the album in full on their Saviors stadium world tour, much to the delight of fans across the globe.

As a teaser for what’s to come, three tracks from the deluxe edition are already available for streaming: the demo Holiday/Blvd. of Broken Dreams, the b-side Favorite Son, and a live version of Minority.
