The Amity Affliction have shared a brand-new song titled Heaven Sent. This is the final preview of their upcoming album House of Cards, which will be released on April 24th through Pure Noise Records.
Singer Joel Birch explained that Heaven Sent is one of the darkest songs on the new record. The lyrics talk about difficult memories from his childhood and the complicated relationship with his stepfather. The song shows how hard personal trauma can be to deal with.
The album House of Cards is the ninth studio record from the band. It is also the first album to feature Jonny Reeves as the new permanent clean vocalist. He replaces Ahren Stringer, who left the group earlier. Before this, the band released the songs House of Cards and Bleed to promote the new project.
