Slipknot Part Ways With Drummer Jay Weinberg

In a surprising move, Slipknot have announced the departure of drummer Jay Weinberg, a crucial member of the band for the past ten years. Weinberg played on three studio albums and contributed significantly following Joey Jordison‘s exit in 2014.

Slipknot, known for their ever-evolving style, cited a creative decision for the separation, expressing gratitude to Weinberg for his contributions and wishing him the best:

This marks the second major lineup change for Slipknot this year, following the departure of sampler and keyboardist Craig ‘133’ Jones in June.

The band is scheduled to headline the Sick New World Festival in Las Vegas on April 27th, 2024, alongside System Of A Down.
