Palaye Royale have officially announced their sixth studio album, Amsterdamage, set for release on January 22 via Sumerian Records. Alongside the announcement, the band dropped its lead single, Lost In Translation.
Drawing heavy inspiration from mid-2000s Brit rock, Lost In Translation captures the urgency of fighting to make a dream work through life’s chaos. The upcoming album served as a vital anchor for the group following the passing of their mother in 2024, channeling grief and resilience into their music.
Reflecting on the profound impact the album’s creation had on keeping the band united, drummer Emerson Barrett shared:
“I think if we didn’t have this album, we would have all gone separate ways. After losing our mother, this is our phoenix rising from the ashes.”
To support the release, Palaye Royale will embark on a massive international tour next year. The run kicks off across the UK and Europe before heading to North America with support from Beauty School Dropout.
