Hellfest Announces Extra Bands & Stages For 20th Anniversary
The organizers of Hellfest have announced that next year’s event will be the biggest in the history of the music festival. The upcoming event is being called the Absolute Edition to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the festival.
The four-day music festival will take place from June 17 to June 20, 2027, in Clisson, France. Organizers plan to expand the lineup from 170 bands up to a massive total of 300 different musical acts.
To hold such a large number of performers, the festival site will be redesigned to grow from six stages up to ten stages. The official names of the stages for next year have already been shared. Fans will be able to watch performances across Mainstage 1, Mainstage 2, Warzone, Riot, Valley, Abyss, Altar, Forge, Temple, and Crypt.
Even though the festival will offer much more music, the overall size of the site will not grow, and the daily capacity will stay capped at 70,000 people per day. The announcements were first shared with the crowd immediately after a headline performance by The Offspring to close out the 2026 festival, which also featured massive sets from groups like Bring Me The Horizon, Iron Maiden, Limp Bizkit, and Papa Roach.
Because of the massive upgrades in quality, the organizers mentioned that ticket prices will be higher for the 20th anniversary. Official four-day passes will go on sale to the public on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, starting at 1pm on the official festival website.
