Watch All The Alternative Performances At The VMAs

Last night was the night for the annual MTV Video Music Awards, held in New Jersey. The award show showcased some epic alternative performances and we made a recap for you:

Fall Out Boy set the stage on fire, quite literally, with their rendition of Billy Joel‘s classic We Didn’t Start The Fire.’ This marked their third VMA performance, with past memorable collaborations, including Rihanna.

Demi Lovato unleashed a rock transformation of her hits ahead of her Revamped album drop on September 15th. The singer-songerwriter performed a medley of Heart Attack, Sorry Not Sorry and Cool For The Summer. Slash, The Maine, and The Used’s Bert McCracken feature on this heavy-hitting record.

Lovato had the following to say about the upcoming album: “With ‘REVAMPED’, I wanted to pay homage to the songs that resonated the most with fans and played a big role in my career by breathing an exciting new life into them.

“Creating this project has been incredibly fun and allowed me to express my passion for rock music in a new way, and I feel so much closer to my older music because of it. I can’t wait for everyone to hear more.”

Måneskin rocked the stage with their brand new track HONEY (ARE U COMING?).

Bassist Victoria De Angelis had the following to say about the song: “We wrote the song right after the tour, we still had a lot of energy from the touring and the travelling. We wrote it in between London and LA. We’re really happy with the result and we think it’s something quite new for us.”  said: “We wrote the song right after the tour, we still had a lot of energy from the touring and the travelling. They also secured the Best Rock award for The Loneliest from their January album, Rush!.
