Gerard Way Shares Statement Regarding Future In Music, Comics & More
![]()
Gerard Way has spend most of his time learning a lot about all kinds of stuff.
He shares in his statement that he has and will continue to appear and disappear on and off, as he has come to the realisation that he is simply wired that way.
Way opened up on his website under the page ‘Afternoon Pages’.
On this page, Gerard Way occasionally writes a paragraph on several topics, including his life and work.
As we’re just a few days into 2017, Way took it upon himself to share a paragraph in which he kind of lays down his plans for the upcoming year.
This year, Gerard Way will ‘split into music and comics, now that Young Animal is running well (thanks to Molly and Jamie’s hard work, and Dan and Jim’s support) it gives me more breathing room to make sounds, some of which may even be connected to the comics.’
Furthermore, as far as recording music goes, here’s what he shared on his website:
I am about to convert a structure on our property into a recording studio, which actually won’t take a lot of work as the space is already pretty perfect. Great drums sounds and church ceilings. Secret echo chambers. I look forward to making some really weird stuff here, and mine for the really hard to get diamonds.
He shared quite a lot in his new post including the loss of George Michael, Carrie Fisher and mental health aswell as the future on his non-musical work Doom Patrol, Young Animal and Umbrella Academy.
His entire post can be read right here.
