Chester Bennington’s Son Records Message For Suicide Prevention Week

2017 has been one hell of a year already, but one thing is for sure: we’ve made big steps towards breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. People are talking more openly about the topic and help is being seeked.

Unfortunately, the reason this sparked was the tragic loss of two icons in the music industry: Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington.

One of Chester Bennington’s sons, Draven Sebastian Bennington, has recorded a message for Suicide Prevention Week, in which he shares the following:

“I want to make a commitment that I will talk to someone before I hurt myself, when I’m feeling depressed or sad or going through a hard week or month or year,” says Bennington’s son. “And I want to challenge you to do the same, to help yourself, not hurt yourself.”
