Nickelodeon Part Ways With Creator Dan Schneider (Creator Of iCarly, Drake & Josh, Victorious & More)
Dan Schneider has been creating content for Nickelodeon over a decade and is responsible for many of Nickelodeon’s most popular shows, including Victorious, Drake & Josh, Zoey 101 and iCarly.
With these shows, Dan Schneider has played a huge role in the start of the careers of countless talented acting people such as Ariana Grande who’s now a pop artist, Elizabeth Gilles, who’s currently playing a main role in the popular Netflix show Dynasty, Miranda Cosgrove, Josh Peck, Drake Bell and many more.
The network and Schneider released a joint statement to Deadline, in which they shared they have ended their partnership. Their statement included:
”Following many conversations together about next directions and future opportunities, Nickelodeon and our long-time creative partner Dan Schneider/Schneider’s Bakery have agreed to not extend the current deal,” Nickelodeon and Schneider said. “Since several Schneider’s Bakery projects are wrapping up, both sides agreed that this is a natural time for Nickelodeon and Schneider’s Bakery to pursue other opportunities and projects.”
“Dan and his Schneider’s Bakery team have created a string of lasting, groundbreaking hits over the years including iCarly, Drake & Josh, Victorious, Kenan & Kel and the current number-one hit show on Nickelodeon, Henry Danger.
