Rachel Shenton, former Hollyoaks actress, won an Oscar last night together with her fiancé Chris Overton.
They won the award ‘Live Action Short Film’ for their short movie ‘The Silent Child’, written by and starring Rachel and directed by Chris.

Rachel gave her acceptance speech in sign language, after making a promise to the lead actress of the short film, 6-year old Maisie Sly, who is deaf.
