My Chemical Romance have officially announced a landmark 20th anniversary edition of their seminal 2006 rock opera, The Black Parade.
The expansive new collection promises to gather everything recorded during the album’s legendary studio sessions into a single, ultimate archive for the very first time.
Reflecting on the album’s monumental legacy two decades later, the band shared:
“At the time, we could never have imagined what the record would mean for the band. All we knew is that we had made something crazy, and something we couldn’t wait to get it out into the world. Today, twenty years on, we celebrate its release.”
To accompany the milestone physical release, the band re-engaged acclaimed artist James Jean, the visionary behind the album’s original iconic visual identity. Jean has produced updated interpretations of the fantastical characters that populated the original record’s narrative universe.
