Australian metalcore outfit Polaris have returned with their emotionally charged new single, WITHOUT YOU, marking their first release of new music in three years.
The track finds the band confronting the heavy, ongoing weight of grief following the sudden loss of their guitarist and brother Ryan Siew in 2023.
Reflecting on the process behind the track, Polaris shared:
“Never did we imagine that we would one day have reason to write this song. But three years on, we find ourselves still making sense of this immeasurable tragedy, and what it has meant to be left in the wake. This is the sound of crushing loss, shock, grief and heartache, and the beginning of us learning how to share that with the world.”
The single arrives alongside an accompanying music video, directed by Third Eye Visuals, which contrasts solemn performances inside an empty cathedral with archival footage highlighting the band’s history and Siew’s enduring legacy.
