Nashville-based singer-songwriter Max McNown has released his latest single, Comets, via Fugitive Recordings. The track serves as the newest preview of his upcoming third studio album, Leave On A Light, which is set for release on September 25th.
Produced with a blend of ’80s pop elements and folk-inspired instrumentation, the uptempo track follows the release of his recent single Famous to You and his summer collaboration with Kygo, Take Me Back. According to McNown, Comets addresses the loss of childlike wonder as people grow older and is intended to encourage listeners to pursue delayed ambitions.
The 17-track LP Leave On A Light reflects on McNown’s recent career milestones, which include a debut at Stagecoach, two sold-out nights at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, and an appearance on ABC News.
