Ice Nine Kills have released a brand-new song titled Twisting The Knife. This new track features guest vocals from Mckenna Grace and is inspired by the famous Scream horror movie franchise.
The song is a tribute to the work of director Wes Craven. It features a dramatic sound and big melodies that match the tone of the films. Spencer Charnas, the singer for Ice Nine Kills, mentioned that the Scream movies are a huge part of the band’s identity. He also shared that they have worked with several actors from the series in the past.
Mckenna Grace also spoke about the collaboration. She explained that she is a fan of the band and enjoyed trying a different style of music. She mentioned being inspired by the vocals of Amy Lee while working on the track.
This is not the first time Ice Nine Kills have written about these movies. They previously released a song called Your Number’s Up, which appeared on the deluxe version of their album The Silver Scream.
Fans can see Ice Nine Kills perform live soon. They are scheduled to appear at the Download Festival this summer alongside other big names like Limp Bizkit, Guns N’ Roses, and Linkin Park.
