This Is How Much Money Grand Theft Auto V Raked In Since Its Release

One of the most successful entertainment products would be the Grand Theft Auto franchise, and more specifically its latest release: Grand Theft Auto V. This instalment of the series was released in 2013 and is the most successful one by far.

Upon its official release, Grand Theft Auto V was already breaking all kinds of records, raking in 800 million dollar in sales on the first day alone. It hit the 1 billion dollar mark already on the third day of the release.

Over the years, Grand Theft Auto V has remained highly relevant, and is still being frequently purchased. A analyst for Cowen named Doug Creutz recently told the financial website Market Watch that Grand Theft Auto V has rougly brought in 6 BILLION DOLLAR since its release, making it the highest selling entertainment product of all time.

There’s no sign yet of Rock Star Games’ next installment of the franchise, as the company has been focusing on Red Dead Redemption 2.
