Concert Review: A Night To Remember With Pierce the Veil At AFAS Live

On Monday evening, September 29, 2025, the moment finally arrived. Pierce the Veil brought their “I Can’t Hear You World Tour” to Amsterdam, performing at AFAS Live.

The show began with the venue plunged into darkness. As soon as the lights came up, the band appeared on stage, and the crowd instantly went wild.

The venue was packed to the brim with a diverse audience. Young and old, parents with kids experiencing their very first show, people with green hair, piercings, and everything in between. But everyone had one thing in common: they had put in the effort to look their best for this night.

During the show, frontman Vic Fuentes mentioned that this is their favorite tour in Europe. Judging by the audience’s reaction, it is safe to say the crowd agreed. This tour is all about celebrating the band’s beginnings. That was made clear when they launched into “Yeah Boy and Doll Face” from their debut album A Flair for the Dramatic. The room erupted.

The stage setup was simple, but the lights were impressive and the big screen behind the band made the show even better. Cameras positioned on both sides of the stage captured cinematic shots, projected on the side screens and the backdrop throughout the night. Drummer Loniel Robinson was easy to spot, with his kit set up a bit higher than the rest of the band, giving everyone a clear view.

To build suspense between songs, the lights often went out, leaving the crowd buzzing with anticipation. This happened again before “Wonderless,” when the band suddenly reappeared seated on stools to perform the track.

One surprising detail was the relatively low number of crowdsurfers. Security at the front of the stage was fully prepared, even though crowdsurfing is technically against AFAS Live’s rules. A few people gave it a shot, but overall it was far less than expected.

As the night went on, the crowd lost themselves in “So Far So Fake.” The track went viral in July 2025 after fans began dancing to its instrumental break on social media. Since then, it has become one of Pierce the Veil’s most streamed songs on Spotify.

As the show was nearing its end, Vic introduced his “emergency contacts.” It was a playful way of presenting the rest of the band before they launched into “Emergency Contacts.”

The main set ended with “Circles,” followed by a three-song encore that truly closed the night.

With this show, Pierce the Veil proved that great music and band chemistry can make a performance unforgettable. Their joy on stage spilled over into the audience, turning the night into something truly special.
