Tay Jardine, best known as the lead vocalist of We Are The In Crowd, has just launched her solo career with the release of her debut single, Bad News. The track, which serves as a preview of her upcoming EP, marks a significant step in her evolving musical journey. This exciting release comes just ahead of We Are The In Crowd’s highly anticipated appearance at the When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas next month.

Jardine took to social media to share her thoughts on Bad News, revealing the deep personal connection she has with the song. She explained, “This song was the first I created for this EP, and it always felt significant. It stands out sonically from the rest of the songs on the upcoming EP and pays tribute to my roots.”

Lyrically, Bad News dives into themes of self-empowerment and the emotional fatigue that comes with dealing with life’s disappointments. Jardine reflected on this, saying, “It’s about standing up for yourself and recognizing your exhaustion with disappointments, while also reflecting on your own role in it all. It’s okay to feel upset, and I hope this song reminds you that your feelings are valid too.”

Fans are already buzzing about what’s to come, and Jardine herself is eagerly looking forward to performing the new material live. “I can’t wait to perform this bridge live!” she teased, adding to the anticipation surrounding her upcoming EP.

Stay tuned for more updates as she prepares to share her full solo project.
