Kellin Quinn Speaks Out Against Drug Glorification in New Song

We’ve all heard songs making drug use seem romantic or cool. In fact, it’s so common in music today that we don’t seem to think twice about it when artists sing about doing drugs in their hot tubs or drinking until they pass out. 

The way that these topics are addressed in songs can actually be harmful. It can shape our attitudes toward the use of drugs and other substances. These songs conveniently forget to mention the harmful effects that substance abuse has on a person, or worse, they make them seem romantic or edgy. 

​In this new song, “The Bottom”, Kellin and Yultron express how they feel about this situation as musicians, and as people who have lost friends due to substance abuse.
