11-years old Jaxon Smith sure is a talent in the making!
The Canadian boy took a liking for drumming at the age of two and took his first drum lesson when he was 8.
This doesn’t mean that he has been laying low these 6 years in between though! Jaxon self taught how to drum and achieved great things even without taking a single drum lesson.

For example, at the age of 6, Jaxon covered ‘The Pretender’ the almighty track by Foo Fighters and posted it on YouTube.
This video has gone absolutely viral with over 1.400.000 views & counting!

Much like the rest of the world, Jaxon  took a liking to Twenty One Pilots and couldn’t stop singing their lyrics and drumming to their songs.
It was inevitable that eventually 11-years old Jaxon was going to cover one of their tracks.
Besides owning the drums, Jaxon also took some of the vocal duties upon himself, which you’ll be able to listen to at the start of the video listed below!

That’s why on August 27th, the drum cover for ‘Heavydirtysoul’ was posted on Jaxon’s YouTube channel.
Little did he know that among the few thousand viewers was Twenty One Pilots’ drummer Josh Dun.

Josh Dun took a liking to the cover (why wouldn’t he) and decided to invite him and his family backstage at Xfest last weekend.
Witnessing a Twenty One Pilots show is one thing, but being able to meet the band members must’ve been so exciting and scary at the same time.

To us, Jaxon is a very good example of making your dreams come true.
He started doing what he loved when he has 2 but even if you’re 22 or 50 you should always persue your dreams.

Let Jaxon inspire you in the video below or on Twitter.
If you like the video below, make sure to follow him and stay tuned for what this boy has to offer next!
