John Kransiski is the face of “A Quiet Place” as he co-wrote the script, directed the movie and starred in it as well with his real-life wife, Emily Blunt.
As later revealed in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, he even played the monsters in the movie.

However, at first he wasn’t supposed to be involved with the sequel as he told his wife that he preferred to leave it as a one-off special experience they shared together.

But during a Q&A at the Silver Screen Theatre in Los Angeles he revealed he will write the script for the sequel after all!

“That was my intention for the movie itself. Then I had this small idea for a sequel, but I didn’t think it would go anywhere. So, I said to the studio, ‘Just go do the movie with somebody else.'”
However, Krasinski’s idea kept on growing. “Paramount heard some pitches, and I told producer Drew Form about this little idea and he told me to think about it a little longer. And then I thought, ‘This might really work.’ So, I’m currently writing the sequel.”

Hold in your excitement though, as the movie isn’t expected up until May 15th, 2020.
But lots to look forward to!
