In 2018, Gerard Way, mostly known for his role as frontman of the legendary ex-band My Chemical Romance, resurrected and released a bunch of new tracks.

On his official website, Way shared that for the new year, the musician might have more music in store, with a potential heavy track among them. In his eyes, 2018 has been a dark year full of black magic, which made him think of witches.

Here’s what he shared on his website gerardway.com:
“2018 was a dark year full of black magic in my opinion, so it got me thinking about witches again. I was inspired to buy this mask because I had just written a song called I Am The Hag, which I haven’t finished yet. It’s kind of heavy. Maybe I’ll release it in 2019.” —Gerard Way, gerardway.com

Gerard Way is keeping busy with the comics, the Netflix adaption of “Umbrella Academy” and now music again.
