Dexter is a TV show about a forensic technician specializing in blood spatter pattern analysis, who leads a secret double life as a serial killer, hunting down murderers and other bad guys.
Some people thought this story was based on fiction but there is a real life Dexter!

His name is Pedro Rodrigues Filho and he is a Brazilian serial killer, also known as Pedrinho Matador or Killer Petey.
He first felt the urge to kill when he was 13 and now by 63-years old, he has killed 71 people.

When he was 14 he killed Minas Gerais, the vice-Mayor of Alfenas, because he fired his dad on unsubstantiated claims he was stealing food from the school kitchen. He then killed the person who he thought was actually stealing the food.

He fell in love with a woman who was later killed by gang members and it was then when he went on rampage.
He was arrested and sent to prison in 1973, but was released in 2007.

Even though he was mostly killing bad people, that still doesn’t justify murdering 71 people.

Dexter itself aired from 2006 to 2013.
