Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley has offered a new update on the future of Sum 41, especially short term! The frontman took to social media and recorded a small message, stating that the band are currently in the process of writing and demoing new material, and are hoping to have new material out before the end of the year.

Here’s what he said:
“It’s a pretty cool time right now, because we’re still in the writing phase, and demoing phase, of making new music, and we’re about halfway through that. When we come home, for the rest of the year we’re just going to focus on trying to finish new music, and have new music out for the New Year sometime.”

Excited?! We know we are!

Check out Deryck Whibley’s update in its entirely in the video below and don’t get too distracted by that gorgeous looking pool right behind Whibley.
