Just a few weeks after announcing their fall tour, Crown The Empire have released a new song, ’20/20′ and an accompanying music video.

The song,  ’20/20′ uses imagery of ‘wires’ in the human life giving it a futuristic feeling and composing imagery of a life that is a struggle between the clinical and chaotic, human and machine, emotional and logical. It sounds as though the story is of a person trying to bring their life together and feel something but is struggling to connect.

Could the wires represent how inhuman and closed off they feel?  The music feels far from cold. It’s a raw and passionate cry of frustration placed into catchy melodies and a full, exciting soundscape.

Could this be our introduction to their fourth studio album, and their first record since former vocalist David Escamilla’s departure? It’s certainly left us hungry for more.
