Billie Joe Armstrong has announced his newest signature guitar model from Gibson!
The frontman for Green Day posted a video on his Instagram introducing his newest Les Paul Junior Gibson model. The guitar is simple in style, but Armstrong insists it’s anything but ordinary. “I get super stoked on this guitar, I think it’s really built to just rock out on.”

The guitar comes in three colors: Ebony, Maraschino Red, and Sonic Blue.
Armstrong relates being inspired by many of the famous rock legends, and wanted that sound to inspire the guitar itself. He called the newest model “a mix between my first guitar and my next guitar… I just wanted something classic, but kinda modern.”
Gibson itself describes the model as having some vintage warmth, but enough edge to pull off a punk rock anthem—necessary features for any Green Day enthusiast.
