Paramore Debut ‘Misery Business’ Live On The Eras Tour At Taylor Swift’s Request

Paramore have been keeping their setlist fresh while supporting Taylor Swift on The Eras Tour throughout Europe. At each show, they have surprised fans by introducing a new song. In Paris, the band treated fans to Brick By Boring Brick, Rose Colored Boy, Forgiveness, and Decode.

However, on May 17th, during their performance at the Friends Arena in Solna, Sweden, Paramore added a special twist. By request of Taylor Swift herself, they played their classic Riot! single Misery Business live for the first time on this tour. Hayley Williams humorously introduced the song, saying, “So by request of Queen Taylor, here’s your fucking breakthrough hit, Stockholm!”

The excitement didn’t stop there. Paramore continued to include Misery Business in their setlist for the shows on May 18th and 19th at the Friends Arena. Additionally, they kept fans on their toes by giving tour debuts to Pool and Running Out Of Time in place of That’s What You Get.

As Paramore continue their journey with The Eras Tour, fans eagerly await what other surprises the band has in store.

Paramore Talk About Joining Taylor Swift For Her Stadium Tour

As Paramore wrap up a stellar 2023, anticipation brews for their monumental 2024. The trio is set to support Taylor Swift in a series of stadium concerts.

In a recent interview with Uproxx, Hayley Williams reflects on their parallel journeys, praising Swift‘s enduring success:

“I mean, we know how rare it is to last this long in the music industry. It’s amazing what she’s traversed through and not only managed to last, but continue to get better as an artist, get bigger in her appeal.

We’ve been in this for as long and we’ve really survived a lot, whether that is self-inflicted shit or just the industry at large and the world at large.

But to be able to play with an artist like her for me represents how long we’ve been at this, and how much shit we’ve seen. Now, it’s time to have a fun summer.”

Looking ahead, the band, having fulfilled label obligations, expresses optimism about the future. Drummer Zac Farro adds, “I just hope we can keep building the Paramore empire and then rule the world.”
