PHOTO REVIEW: iDKHOW Light Up The Max Stage In Amsterdam

I Don’t Know How But They Found Me, or iDKHOW for short, is the brainchild of Dallon Weekes. With his latest album, GLOOM DIVISION, Weekes explores a range of genres from R&B to post-punk to art pop. This album is his most personal work yet, delving into his life as a neurodivergent individual. In 2019, iDKHOW turned Melkweg’s Upstairs venue upside down. Yesterday, armed with GLOOM DIVISION, Weekes conquered the Max stage this time around.

Our photographer, Christine Mooijer, was there to shot some pictures and give you a glimpse of what the show was like. Check out the pictures below!

IDKHOW Drop New Single ‘GLOOMTOWN BRATS’ Ahead Of ‘GLOOM DIVISION’ Album Release

iDKHOW, the musical project led by Dallon Weekes, release their latest single, GLOOMTOWN BRATS, providing a glimpse into the upcoming album, GLOOM DIVISION. The track echoes the social commentary found in Do It All The Time, as Weekes shared in his most recent Rock Sound interview.

Weekes, sharing insights on the song’s inspiration, noted, “I grew up without money, and one of my favorite quotes is ‘rich boys never make it to the majors.’ It applies to music—a 24/7 pursuit, not a 9 to 5.”

“There are rich kids who get it, but I tend to write about those oblivious to their position.”

GLOOM DIVISION is set for release on February 23rd, 2024, promising an immersive musical experience from iDKHOW.

IDKHOW Announce Sophomore Album ‘GLOOM DIVISION’, Release Single ‘WHAT LOVE?’

Dallon Weekes, the creative force behind iDKHOW (I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME), has ignited anticipation among fans with the announcement of the project’s sophomore album, GLOOM DIVISION, set to drop on February 23rd.

To celebrate this exciting news, iDKHOW has gifted fans with the project’s first single, WHAT LOVE?. The track is accompanied by a playful music video and is produced by Dave Fridmann (known for his work with Tame Impala, MGMT, and Weezer), just like the rest of GLOOM DIVISION, which was recorded at Fridmann‘s Tarbox Road Studios and Weekes‘ very own basement studio.

Reflecting on the album, Weekes shared, “Writing has always been an outlet to exorcize your demons or difficult emotions, but with GLOOM DIVISION, I made a conscious effort to stop censoring myself when it comes to the subject material or what I wanted to say.”

In addition to the album announcement, iDKHOW has locked in a special New Year’s celebration show for their hometown fans. The event will take place on December 30th at The Depot in Salt Lake City, promising a memorable night for all in attendance.
