‘The Conjuring 4’ – Final Installment Slated For 2025 Release

Fans of the spine-chilling Conjuring Universe can mark their calendars for a thrilling conclusion. The Conjuring 4, touted as the final installment in the main series, is set to hit theaters on September 5th, 2025. James Wan Hints At Return To Horror As He Delves Into Thrilling New Project

Renowned filmmaker James Wan, celebrated for his mastery of the horror genre and blockbuster hits, has recently expressed a desire to return to the director’s seat for more spine-chilling ventures. Known for creating iconic horror franchises and seamlessly transitioning into big-budget spectacles like Aquaman, Wan is eager to balance his creative endeavors by oscillating between grand cinematic experiences and smaller, intense projects like his recent mind-bending horror film, Malignant.

During the promotional tour for his latest Aquaman installment, Wan couldn’t escape conversations about his roots in horror. He shared, “You know, I have a tendency to want to go back and forth. So, whenever I make a smaller film, I wanna go and make a big film. Whenever I’m doing a big one, I’m like, ‘Oh, I wanna go and do a smaller film,’ and when I do my smaller films, it tends to be a horror film. So, you know, I feel like the itch for horror is potentially calling, but we’ll see.”

Fans are clamoring for Wan’s return to the horror scene, eager to witness more of the audacious and unpredictable storytelling that made Malignant a standout in the genre.

In the meantime, while Wan contemplates his next directorial move, he remains deeply involved in the horror realm as a producer. Wan is set to bring Catherine Ryan Howard’s gripping book adaptation, 56, to the screen under the new title Obsession.

Netflix Unveils ‘The Fall Of The House Of Usher’ Poster, A Haunting Tale By Mike Flanagan

Prepare for a spine-tingling Halloween as Netflix brings Edgar Allan Poe‘s eerie tales to life with Mike Flanagan‘s chilling new series, The Fall of the House of Usher. This limited 8-episode series, based on multiple works by Poe, is set to premiere on October 12th, 2023, the 5-year anniversary of the release of The Haunting Of Hill House.

“In this wicked narrative, ruthless siblings Roderick and Madeline Usher have turned Fortunato Pharmaceuticals into a realm of opulence and influence. The star-studded ensemble cast features Carla Gugino, Mary McDonnell, Carl Lumbly, Mark Hamill, and more. Bruce Greenwood takes on the role of Roderick Usher.

Carla Gugino, known for her roles in Gerald’s Game and The Haunting of Hill House, promises a rollercoaster of dark humor and soul-stirring moments. This marks Mike Flanagan‘s fifth collaboration with Netflix under his Intrepid Pictures deal, following the success of The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass, and The Midnight Club.

In a thrilling announcement for fans of both classic literature and suspenseful television, Netflix has revealed that The Fall of the House of Usher, a highly anticipated series based on the haunting works of Edgar Allan Poe, is set to premiere on October 12th.

The upcoming limited eight-episode series, helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Mike Flanagan, promises to delve into the eerie and macabre with a contemporary twist. Set in a world of opulent wealth and concealed secrets, the story follows the ruthless Usher siblings, Roderick (played by Bruce Greenwood) and Madeline (portrayed by Mary McDonnell). Together, they have masterminded the rise of Fortunato Pharmaceuticals, amassing a colossal empire of power and privilege.

However, the Usher dynasty’s grip on success begins to falter when the dark shadows of their past resurface. As a series of enigmatic deaths plague the Usher heirs, a mysterious woman from their youth emerges as the harbinger of doom, wielding the power to unveil long-buried truths that threaten to shatter their world.

The series is produced by Intrepid Pictures, with Flanagan and Trevor Macy serving as executive producers alongside Fimognari and Emmy Grinwis.

Carla Gugino, who is part of the captivating ensemble, described the series as a rollercoaster of emotions, exclaiming, “It’s batshit crazy in the best possible way. It has quite a lot of very dark humor, but also really touches the soul. There is a fantastical supernatural element to the story, and [Verna] is the manifestation of that. You could say she’s the executor of fate or the executor of karma.”
