Paramore have some exciting news. David Byrne, who was the lead singer of the famous band Talking Heads, has made his own version of Paramore’s song Hard Times from 2017 record After Laughter. This cool collaboration is part of a special music release for Record Store Day on April 20th.

For this special day, Paramore are going to release a special record that has two songs on it. One side will have David Byrne’s cover of Hard Times, and the other side will have Paramore‘s version of a Talking Heads song called Burning Down The House., which they released a few weeks ago‘ This cover by Paramore is from an album that celebrates 40 years since the concert movie Stop Making Sense by Talking Heads.

Also, Paramore has been chosen as the Record Store Day Ambassadors for 2024. They’re really excited about it and said, “We are humbled to be your Ambassadors for Record Store Day 2024. The timing feels kismet. The discovery of music was always meant to be romantic. Indie record shops are some of the only spaces we’ve got that offer a tangible, tactile experience of music discovery.”

Last week, the band also released a music video for their song Thick Skull, a standout track from their 2023 album titled This Is Why. If you missed it, you can check it out below:
