It’s been almost two months since Metallica released, Lux Æterna, the first single off of their upcoming album 72 Seasons.

The band announced the record, which will be released on the 14th of April of 2023, and announced a unique tour with it.

They will be playing two shows with two different setlists and different support acts in many cities around the world including but not limited to Amsterdam, Madrid, Montreal and Seattle.

The support acts throughout the tour include Architects, Five Finger Death Punch, Ice Nine Kills, Volbeat & more.

Frontman James Hetfield had the following to say about the upcoming music:

“72 seasons. The first 18 years of our lives that form our true or false selves. The concept that we were told ‘who we are’ by our parents. A possible pigeonholing around what kind of personality we are. I think the most interesting part of this is the continued study of those core beliefs and how it affects our perception of the world today. Much of our adult experience is reenactment or reaction to these childhood experiences. Prisoners of childhood or breaking free of those bondages we carry.”

Now, the band have released the second single off of the album, called Screaming Suicide.

The new song comes with an accompanying music video, which you can check out below!
