Angus Cloud, the young actor best known for his portrayal of Fezco, also known as Fez, on HBO’s hit series Euphoria, has tragically passed away at the tender age of 25. The devastating news was confirmed by Angus‘ family in a heartfelt statement released to TMZ on Monday, July 31st.

“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today,” the statement reads. “As an artist, a friend, a brother, and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways. Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend.”

The statement also acknowledged Angus‘ openness about his battle with mental health, with the hope that his passing serves as a reminder to others that they are not alone and should seek support. “We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter, and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”

Angus Cloud rose to fame after being scouted on the street and landing the role of Fez on Euphoria, where he quickly became one of the most beloved characters on the show. His exceptional talent and popularity on the series opened doors for him, and he secured roles in several upcoming movies. Despite his untimely passing, audiences will still be able to see Angus in three posthumously released films.

One of these films is an as-yet-untitled monster thriller directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, scheduled for release in April 2024. Angus also worked on a new drama called Freaky Tales alongside actors Pedro Pascal, Jay Ellis, and Jack Champion, as well as a Dan Brown horror movie titled Your Lucky Day. Both films are currently in post-production, with release dates yet to be announced.

Additionally, Angus Cloud stars in the coming-of-age film The Line, featuring Alex Wolff (Hereditary), Austin Abrams (Chemical Hearts), and Halle Bailey (Disney’s The Little Mermaid), which received high praise from critics at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2023 but is still awaiting a wide release.

Fans, friends, and co-stars have been sharing their heartfelt tributes to the late actor following the news of his passing. Among those offering their condolences are Angus‘ Euphoria co-stars, including Javon Walton, Alexa Demie, Eric Dane, Colman Domingo, Storm Reid, and Kathrine Narducci, as well as executive producer Drake and showrunner Sam Levinson.

Sam Levinson expressed his sorrow and admiration for Angus, saying, “There was no one quite like Angus. He was too special, too talented and way too young to leave us so soon.” Levinson also acknowledged Angus‘ struggles with addiction and depression, emphasizing the impact the young actor had on many hearts.

Alexa Demie, who worked closely with Angus on Euphoria, simply shared a broken heart emoji on social media, expressing her grief at the loss.

Other actors who had worked with Angus on various projects and those who had met him at events over the years also took to social media to share their tributes and memories.

Angus Cloud’s passing has left a profound void in the entertainment industry, and his talent, warmth, and spirit will be deeply missed by friends, family, and fans alike. As the world mourns the loss of this young talent, may his legacy serve as a reminder of the importance of compassion, understanding, and seeking help for those struggling with mental health issues.
