Powerfest Review: Crown The Empire

In 2017, Powerfest made its glorious return. After a few years of inactivity the Amsterdam-based indoor festival was back with some of the biggest names in poppunk and post-hardcore.
With headliners Pierce The Veil and Sleeping With Sirens, Powerfest 2017 was bound to be epic and nothing could have been more true.

Crown The Empire made their very highly anticipated return to Europe after two years of absence and undergoing several line-up changes since. Now down to one frontman, it was up to Andy Leo to take care of both the clean and unclean vocals. The now quartet’s set overlapped with Pierce The Veil but the crowd that came out to see them was outstanding nonetheless. Even though the  turbulent times and the line-up changes the band went through, they continue to perform very powerfully but however, have lost their magical touch they once had with their dynamic vocal duo.
