Brendon Urie has won a Outer Critics Circle award for ‘Outstanding New Score’ with his  song ‘Just A Simple Sponge’ for the Broadway musical: Spongebob Squarepants.

The 68th annual Outer Critics Circle awards will be in New York on May 24th this year, where the show will take home the award and two others, the award for Outstanding New Broadway Musical and Outstanding Actor In A Musical for Ethan Slater’s performance in the title role.

Brendon is also nominated for Best Original Score Tony Award with this song.
