In a heartfelt message to fans, Dallon Weekes, frontman of the acclaimed band iDKHOW (I Don’t Know How But They Found Me), revealed some major developments regarding the band’s new album and a significant change in its lineup.

In a social media post dated September 17th, Weekes disclosed that drummer Ryan Seaman would no longer be a part of iDKHOW. The departure came as a result of a series of broken trusts between the two of them, making it necessary to make this difficult decision. Weekes expressed his sadness at losing a friend of fifteen years but emphasized the band’s profound importance in his life. He highlighted that iDKHOW was not just a passion project but a means of providing for his family, a responsibility he takes very seriously.

Despite the somber news about Seaman’s departure, Weekes had exciting updates to share about the band’s musical journey. He announced the completion of a new iDKHOW album, produced by the highly regarded Dave Fridmann, known for his work with The Flaming Lips and Phantom Planet, among others. Weekes expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with Fridmann, describing it as a dream come true. Fans can expect this eagerly awaited album to be released via Concord Records, with Weekes expressing his enthusiasm for the team’s dedication to getting the music out into the world as soon as possible.

Weekes also took a moment to acknowledge the tremendous support from iDKHOW fans, noting some remarkable milestones achieved since the last album. The band has amassed 1 million followers on Spotify, a testament to their growing popularity. Additionally, their hit track Choke has been certified GOLD in both the US and Canada, an achievement that Weekes finds equally humbling and incredible.

In closing, Dallon Weekes expressed his gratitude for the patience and unwavering support of iDKHOW fans throughout this journey. He thanked them for their moxie and assured them that the new album would be shared soon.

This statement marks a significant turning point for iDKHOW, and fans around the world are eagerly anticipating the release of the new album and the next chapter in the band’s musical evolution.
