CONCERT REVIEW: Alexisonfire Ends Tour With Great Music And Great Crowd

Alexisonfire was in the Netherlands on November 1st with the last show of their tour. They brought along Higher Power and Boston Manor. We had the pleasure to be there, we also got the chance to take some great pictures.

I arrived a little bit before Boston Manor started so I sadly did miss Higher Power. Boston Manor was finally back in the Netherlands after their show at the end of June when they opened for Neck Deep. Again, they did not disappoint at all and got the crowd pretty hyped while playing popular songs like Foxglove, Crocus and Halo.
They had to ask the crowd to form a mosh pit, but the crowd formed one as soon as it was said. It didn’t end quickly either, the moshing continued for a while. Boston Manor had the end-of-tour talk around the end of the setlist since it was the last show of the tour, and it was another successful one. The whole band flew in each other’s arms after their set ended. It was really great to see them have such a real reaction to the end of tour. I would highly recommend everyone to go see Boston Manor if you get the chance. Check out the pictures we took of Boston Manor below!

Boston Manor:

After that, it was time for Alexisonfire. Wow, what a unique band. This band had one of the best stage presences I’ve ever seen. It already started with the bass player. He kept running everywhere on the stage, coming back to the crowd, and making these weird faces. It gave a great feeling of the band actually knowing that you are standing there and enjoying their music. He also often looked at individual fans in such a way that you knew that he was thankful and happy to be there.

If that wasn’t all, they also have 3 vocalists which make for a dynamic that you rarely see. All of them had their own moments and all of them had a unique stage presence. On another important note, the music was absolutely amazing. The way they played didn’t feel over the top but also not too tame. There are not a lot of bands who can create such a big effect on the crowd without even doing a lot of extremely special stuff. I felt really included during the concert.

I would absolutely recommend going to Alexisonfire, their tour just ended so you’ll have to wait for a bit but check them out at least once if you get the chance. Check out the pictures Lonneke Prins took below and let us know what you thought of it!
